The e-Arrival Card is a digital disembarkation form introduced by Indian immigration. It is mandatory for all British travellers arriving in India. That includes anyone flying from Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester or any other UK airport. It must be completed online before boarding - ideally at least 72 hours before your departure from the UK.

It depends on the eVisa category. The 30-day tourist eVisa allows a single visit of up to 30 days. The one-year and five-year tourist eVisas permit multiple visits of up to 90 days each. The business eVisa allows stays of up to 180 days. For longer trips, choose one of the longer-validity options.
British applicants need a colour scan of their UK passport bio-data page. It must be valid for at least six months beyond travel. You also need a recent passport-style photo against a white background and a working email address. Business and medical eVisas require an extra invitation or hospital letter. No physical documents need to be posted.
London Heathrow offers the widest choice. Air India, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic fly direct to Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad. Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh also run seasonal direct routes to Indian cities. Other UK airports connect via Gulf hubs such as Dubai and Doha.
Vaccinations are not formally required for eVisa approval. Even so, the NHS Fit for Travel service and most UK travel clinics recommend Hepatitis A, Typhoid and Tetanus jabs before you travel to India. Discuss your itinerary with your GP or a travel clinic six to eight weeks before departure.
