About IndiaEVisa.uk
An independent editorial guide, written in British English, that helps UK citizens understand and apply for the India eVisa with confidence.
Who we are
IndiaEVisa.uk is an independent information service created for British travellers. We are not a government body and we are not the Indian authorities - we are an editorial guide that explains the India eVisa clearly, in plain British English, so that UK citizens can apply accurately and travel without stress. Where you choose to submit an application, this is handled by our trusted partner platform, which takes payment securely in pounds sterling and provides UK-based customer support.
Why we exist
The official Indian eVisa system is comprehensive but not always easy to navigate from the UK. Questions about which visa to choose, what the photo rules are, how long processing takes and what happens if something goes wrong are asked thousands of times a week by British travellers. We set out to answer those questions properly - once, clearly, and without the jargon - so you are not left guessing days before a flight.
What we do
- Explain the visa types - tourist, business, medical and conference eVisas - so you pick the right one. See how they compare.
- Set out the requirements clearly, including photo and document specifications and the full requirements checklist.
- Explain the practical detail - fees, processing times and the refund policy.
- Publish travel guides written for UK visitors to India in our travel guides section.
Our editorial principles
- Accuracy first. We describe the rules as the Indian authorities set them and update our guidance when those rules change.
- No stale prices. Because government fees move with the exchange rate and the season, we do not quote fixed figures; the live price in GBP is always shown on the application page before you pay.
- Plain British English. Everything is written for a UK audience, using UK terms, examples and points of reference.
- Independence. Our guidance is editorial. We are transparent that applications are fulfilled through a partner platform.
Who this is for
Our content is written primarily for British passport holders and UK residents planning a trip to India - whether that is a first holiday in Rajasthan, a business trip to Bengaluru, medical treatment, or a conference. If you hold a passport from another country, the India eVisa is still available to most nationalities; the application page confirms eligibility for your specific passport.
Important note
India retains full sovereign discretion over visa decisions. We provide information and application support; we cannot guarantee approval, and we are not affiliated with the Government of India or any UK government department. For our full terms, see our terms of service, and for how we handle data, our privacy policy.
